Like all of our creations, our Luna rug's name pays homage to the transalpine origins of Constance Gennari, founder and artistic director of The Socialite Family. Made from 100% natural New Zealand wool, an exquisite material with specially spun fibres that are dyed to the specified colour on-site, our creation will bring warmth and comfort to your home. Manufacturers Pinton: a unique expertise combining art and materials
Just like our Roma rug range, Luna is manufactured by Pinton, who have been honing their exceptional skills and expertise since 1867. Based in Felletin in the French region of Creuse, this famous workshop has been contributing to the rise in the art of French textiles throughout the world for more than 150 years. One of the world leaders for high quality carpet and upholstery, Pinton has over the years seen a parade of well-known artists turn to its specialised weaving services, such as Calder, Delaunay, Le Corbusier and, more recently, Enzo Cucchi, Joe Tilson and Etel Adnan.
Our Luna rug is woven and manufactured using the highly specialised technique of gun-tufting. An innovative addition to the range of high quality services provided by Pinton, a company that has always been equipped with the latest new technology needed in modern design and creation, and which is the only manufacturer in France to offer tufted rugs alongside knotted designs. This method — in which craftsmen play an essential role, using specialised equipment — makes all kinds of designs possible, allowing for different shapes, colour combinations, patterns, embossing, etc. resulting in a remarkable and virtually tailor-made end product.

Make the most of the different sizes and shapes available in this style - Luna is available in various versions. Our plain models come in two rectangular sizes, a circular format, and a runner measuring 150 x 200 and 200 x 300 for its patterned version - to create surprising patterns, for example by overlaying two models!
