Truly the signature piece of our lighting collection, the Gioia table lamp of The Socialte Family has a lacquered wood base and a leopard jacquard fabric lampshade. Also available in ash version with an iroko finish.
Gioia, a name that pays homage to Italy
Like all of the products offered by The Socialite Family, the Gioia table lamp owes its name to Italy . Gioia means joy in the mother tongue of our founder and artistic director, Constance Gennari.
This dual Franco-Italian identity is paramount for us. We are committed to ensuring you feel it, too. Above all, in the selection of our craftsmen and their expertise, where the Gioia table lamp is produced. Also in our inspiration, Italy being the birthplace of design.
A signature design
Developed by our design studio, with the sculptural form of its base suggesting a flower and its pleated shade reminiscent of an elegant gown, the Gioia table lamp is a signature piece. A shining example of the artisanal savoir-faire so dear to us at The Socialite Family, exemplified in the choice of materials and finishes.
The Gioia plays on the contrast between the shiny lacquer or the ash wood with an iroko finish and the leopard jacquard fabric shade that sets the tone. The promise of an elegant, timeless piece, modern, yet retro. Like the Panchina bench or the Cavallo armchair , the Gioia table lamp matured for months and months in our minds and then in our hands. It is indeed representative of The Socialite Family style.
Both the name and the shape of the Gioia table lamp transport us straight back to the 1970s . A prolific period in design as well as in fashion that was a real inspiration for Constance Gennari.
These vintage inspirations are the starting point for all our creations. For the Gioia table lamp, we have drawn upon the aesthetics of the ’70s, which brought the generosity of rounded shapes into the spotlight. Consequently, the base of our model has rounded corners with the appearance of flower petals, to which the square edges of the fabric lampshade are added.
One table lamp, a thousand possibilities
The Gioia lamp will become indispensable, wherever you place it. Use it in your room, placed on a bedside table or on a pile of beautiful books at the bottom of your bed. Its diffuse light will create an enveloping glow that will be restful for you or your child. A designer lamp in your youngster's room will be the beginning of an education in beauty.
The leopard, a couture pattern imagined by The Socialite Family
"The leopard design was always part of the decor of my childhood" - Constance Gennari. The spirit of yesteryear with a sweet hint of the unique that led our founder and artistic director to want to create the first pattern for The Socialite Family. A character-filled design with an ikat effect - a special artistic technique that brings modernity to the pattern - that comes to life with cotton jacquard, adorning our iconic creations with added playfulness. This is the way our brand celebrates the eclectic universe of Parisian decorator Madeleine Castaing. An impertinent style with a strong emphasis that can be found on this animal motif created by our design studio with the help of an illustrator.
To embody this in our creations, we spontaneously chose an unbeatable quality jacquard, woven in an Italian factory in the Lombardy region. Give new momentum to your interior with this leopard motif. The Rotondo sofa, the Gioia table lampshade, the Bomboloni and Divino cushions: whether you use them as monumental pieces to make a statement or just sparingly as accessories to enhance the atmosphere, our leopard motif is nothing but a timeless favourite. A new classic aimed at enthusiasts and novices alike who want to indulge in wild and daring dissonance.
