Gioia, a name that pays homage to Italy

Like all of the products offered by The Socialite Family, the Gioia table lamp owes its name to Italy. Gioia means joy in the mother tongue of our founder and artistic director, Constance Gennari.

This dual Franco-Italian identity is paramount for us. We are committed to ensuring you feel it, too. Above all, in the selection of our craftsmen and their expertise, where the Gioia table lamp is produced. Also in our inspiration, Italy being the birthplace of design.

Vintage inspirations

Both the name and the shape of the Gioia table lamp transport us straight back to the 1970s. A prolific period in design as well as in fashion that was a real inspiration for Constance Gennari.

These vintage inspirations are the starting point for all our creations. For the Gioia table lamp, we have drawn upon the aesthetics of the ’70s, which brought the generosity of rounded shapes into the spotlight. Consequently, the base of our model has rounded corners with the appearance of flower petals, to which the square edges of the fabric lampshade are added.
