The Lucia Sellier & The Socialite Family creative collaboration is, first and foremost, a commitment to an artistic approach as part of a further, social commitment. It involves bringing dormant fabric scraps from our collection back to life through creations designed to enhance your everyday life. Working together, our Franco-Italian co-founder Constance Gennari and the Parisian artist have come up with two landscapes that draw their lines from the sunny world of the Mediterranean basin. Two drawings with a play of graphic perspectives in a duo of paintings commissioned by Lucia and on two square cushions made by the Emmaüs défi association. Pieces as simple as they are powerful, inviting you to take a journey. You'll never tire of gazing at their dreamlike contours.

Creating two cushions with graphic, colourful Mediterranean landscapes

The cushions, handmade by members of the Emmaüs défi association, are inspired by pictures created by Lucia Sellier and sensitively convey a dreamy imagined Mediterranean landscape. Available in two versions - respectively presenting the work in a vertical format called Terra di Sienna and a horizontal format called Tra Mare e Cielo - these two fantasised landscapes play on perspective and depth. A succession of arches reminiscent of classical Italian architecture offers a glimpse of a natural landscape tanned by the blazing sun. Like this cypress tree, these blue waters and this mysterious island far away.

The Socialite Family turned to Emmaüs défi to bring these two decorative accessories to life. They draw together the threads of this committed collaboration. Taking Lucia Sellier's two drawings as their starting point, the association's sewers on vocational rehabilitation schemes stitch these two landscapes together using our textile fabric scraps. Sienna, blue, green: so many colours echoing the summer shades of Italy, so you can enjoy them in your own home. Enhancing the lines of our Rotondo modular sofa or on a beautifully dressed bed in an intimate bedroom setting.
