Round sand-colour Mirror - Cristina Celestino for The Socialite Family
Working alongside with Cristina Celestino to create this retro mirror—with a subtle interplay of materials that is reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance—is a source of great pride. A rising star in the world of Italian design, my relationship with Cristina has blossomed into a real friendship: I admire her talent and creativity, underscored with a great deal of humour.
The "Paris-Milano" collection is defined by a clear theme, tracing the origins of The Socialite Family through the cities of Paris and Milan to bring new life to everyday objects. These designer pieces — created by Cristina Celestino and our design studio — offer the perfect balance between practicality and refinement, showcasing the best of Italian craftsmanship.
"Paris-Milano": two designers united by a common energy
"Paris-Milano" is the story of a long-distance encounter between two women: Cristina Celestino, an architect and designer from Milan and the head of the Attico Design brand, and Constance Gennari, the founder and artistic director of The Socialite Family. Two designers united by a common energy and a desire to share their ideas, drawing inspiration from one another to create a collection that bridges the gap between two countries: France and Italy.
More specifically, they were influenced by their two cities — Paris and Milan — which are echoed in the materials and details borrowed from Milanese and Parisian architecture, linked by a certain vintage flair. This common thread has drawn us together since our respective beginnings in 2013, allowing us to realise our dream of combining our brands and bringing them into your home. An opportunity to treat yourself to genuine designer pieces, which are both practical and refined. Colourful designs with special finishes that highlight the artisanal work. The very best of Italian craftsmanship.
A mirror with an understated blend of materials
"Paris-Milano" is a veritable voyage rooted in ancient artisanal knowledge, passed down through the generations to bring unique design objects to life. This unprecedented approach is reflected in the latest work from designer Cristina Celestino, who worked alongside The Socialite Family's design studio to create a decorative mirror adorned with twisted wood — one of the Milanese designer's signature elements, as seen in her grandiose Venetian creations — in addition to a box, a vase and a ceramic planter.
The glass is "speckled", with a deliberately aged appearance, reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance. Made from an understated blend of materials to accentuate its graphic side, this designer piece is a truly nomadic object, versatile enough to fit into every room of your interior. You can hang it on the wall to dress up your space and create a sense of depth. Alternatively, you can place it on a shelf, where its rounded details will instantly elevate your decor, or even stand it directly on the floor.
Daily cleaning with a soft damp cloth, then dry the wooden parts with a dry cloth.
