Event! For the first time, The Socialite Family has brought together a selection of the most beautiful interiors seen throughout its history in order to highlight them in an outstanding piece of media: Retrospective, a self-published object book, the first part of a collection - available in French and English - to collect.
Retrospective, the first partbook of The Socialite Family
Because we are in constant search of authenticity, The Socialite Family wanted to give life to a timeless object. Retrospective is the first part of a collection. A dive into our archives - available in French and English - that draws from the immense resources offered to us every day by the subjects that make up the personality of our media.
"Families, artists, craftsmen, decorators, architects and other enthusiasts of this world: thank you for opening your doors to us, and for letting us capture your readings, your colors but also some of your secrets. This first release is a tribute to you. This is a retrospective of your creativity and your talent, both gathered in a 288-page book object that you will be able to devour, admire and collect" - Constance Gennari.
Self-publishing as a vector of emotions
The result of our reflections, this book has been thought over for months to become a promise anchored in reality. A new dimension that allows our archives to come to life in an exceptional support, entirely designed in-house, from the editorial to the art direction and publishing.
More than a simple book, Retrospective gives to see, to read, and to be inspired through more than 30 subjects and 200 photographs of universes - for some completely unpublished - chosen one by one by the propensity that they had to move us and to overturn us.
From online magazine to decoration brand
Founded by Constance Gennari, The Socialite Family was born in 2013 as an online media dedicated to interior design. What makes it special? A new look at the daily life of contemporary, urban and nomadic families. A unique way of photographing and present interiors just as they are: raw. First in Paris where the site was born, then in the south, in Italy and soon in other European cities. Through the lens of The Socialite Family, lifestyles are revealed, but also countless ways of apprehending decoration, depending on whether it comes from purely decorative, instinctive or sometimes totally functional choices.
A look at what arouses emotion In 2015, Marianne Gosset joined the adventure to create a new era: The Socialite Family brand. Constance, on the other hand, is in charge of the artistic direction at the head of a research department composed of a team of designers who give impetus to a collection of furniture, lighting and decorative accessories with an original design.
